Power beyond

I bough a new after market replacement 2 spool valve for the loader. There are no instructions with the valve. There is a kind of fitting in a plastic bag identified "power beyond adapter".

Does somebody good enough to give some info on that.

it basically provides a means of separating the 'return-to-tank' from the 'pressure flow thru' to next control valve in a chain, hence the name 'power beyond'.

That valve is designed to be the first place oil goes when it leaves the hydraulic pump. The out goes back to the reservoir (hopefully after going through a hydraulic filter). The power beyond can go on to other valves such as the ones the tractor originally came with. The oil which has been used by the work ports on the power beyond goes back to the reservoir, not to the next valve in the line. This prevents oil pressure from the first valve being added to the pressure from the next valve and so on. Just putting open center valves in series can add pressures which can destroy a now underprotected pump. The pressures downstream can't exceed the pressure relief setting of the power beyond valve. I hope I didn't just babble with this answer.

In this instance the power beyond adapter is used to take oil that is not used by the tractors hydraulic valves and send it to the valve which you purchased. Power beyond basically means hydraulic power after the hydraulic valves on the tractor. After the oil has passed your new valve it then goes back to the tractors oil supply.

Ron, I think that depends on whether he has "There is a kind of fitting in a plastic bag identified "power beyond adapter" , a fitting as he said, or an adapter plate that bolts to tractor.

You are correct. The fitting that came with the valve may not be the one that is needed to tap into the system. We put a third and forth valve on an 806 and it required an adapter plate that bolted onto the tractors valves that are stacked under the seat. High pressure oil went from the adapted plate to the new valves and return oil went back to the adapter plate.
