Wood Splitter

Since there were a couple of discussions about wood splitters lately, I thought I'd show a picture of mine. Not fancy or extremely powerful, but it's split 12-15 cords every year since 1980 and I built it for about $100.

do you use the tractor hydraulics or do you have a pto pump just wondering for the speed cycle.

There's no pto pump, look above the drawbar, see the pto! Nothing hooked to it.

i have a 50 jd and we are building a splitter for it , do you know the gpm on these tractors , is your cycle time ok? thanks

I wanna know just HOW you mounted it...!!!

Do you have shut-off valves on both sets of lines..??

White stuff started about 6am, stopped at noon, and was gone by 2pm. Our stupid winter has gone like that. I have a bunch of wood to haul and I'm afraid to haul it, ground too soft. I'm hoping it'll freeze up soon.
