This is what is happening in the shop. For the first time in a couple years spending some quality time with my toys.

This one is my favorite, the 51 B that belonged to my grandad. Still remember riding on a hayrack behind it while he drove down the road.

Snapped this pic while I was driving home in the tractor the other day. Looks like I have two water towers in the barn lot! They are a couple miles away really.

We have some fancy tools to feed cattle with around here but, even though it is hard to tell in this pic, this fork is all shined up. A little old school to offset the new ways.

My helpers put some work into cleaning up the 4440 this winter. I had to put it to work the other day and I was told NOT to get it dirty. Looks good to me!

There is a story that goes with this but the short version is my friend nick had shirts made for me and the guys with this on the back of them. Looks pretty neat I think.

Got this new toy back about christmas. Its a replica 1873 Colt single action army in 45LC. Havent shot it yet but I am looking forward to it.

This was deliverd this week. Looking forward to playing with this but not as much as the Colt!!

When wrigley isnt busy napping he has been helping with the cows. I have thought about letting him drive but after that incident with the truck I better not!
Ok, so lets see what you guys have been up to!

Wish my shop was as neat and clean as yours. Maybe after I get the electrical system working on Grandpa's old Farmall H, I'll get a chance to clean it up before spring hits.

No Photos but I am currently rebuilding a New Holland Rollabar Hay Rake #258 with Dolly wheels. Am replacing Bearings, the only ones that are not bad are the rear axle bearings. This is the result of living outdoors its entire life.

Neat pictures I wish I knew how to post pictures from my camera I can post some old ones from this computer. I'll try it and see if it works.

70 Dodge convert, 69 coupe deville, 47 Plymouth and a JD BR. Not much room left to do anything inside except around the bench. The work vehicles get snowed on in winter and baked in the summer.

No pix, but as my sister's father in law used to say, "It looks like a third class Chinese wh###house in distress"

'94 Ford F-250 with the box off, trying to get the rest of the damage squared away after welding and fish plating the broken frame. Need to replace the gas tanks and shocks, add overload springs.

Loose tools and junk littering the floor in the other bay. Farmall C parts tractor in piles on pallets, covered with whatever else has been dumped on it for the past ten years.

Firewood for the furnace overflowing from the corner that I sectioned off with pallets. Assorted lumber piled on a half floor over the wood pile.

Along one side, 16 inch Hendey metal lathe, useless right now until I get a new flat belt for it, 60 ton Perkins punch press, set up as a metal shear, work bench with vise and junk piled on it, four high cabinets from an old meat locker, filled with manuals and machinery parts, Miller mig welder, man door, air compressors, and old Montgomery ward stick welder.

On the wall above that, one cubic yard of Chilton's and Motor's manuals, hope fully out of danger from grease, oil, and water.

At this point it will probably look like that until maple sugar season is over, just messed up more as I dash in and grab tools to take to the sugar house.

Nice pics. I always enjoy them. You have a good eye for the interesting ones. There's nothing of importance in the shop for the first time in five or six years. But I do have a few waiting in the wings. Jim

Just a two bay, and crowded enough that its never ready for pictures.

IH 504 diesel just about put back together from running a stob through the radiator when piling brush. Bent the grill surround, tore the metal on the hood bolts, etc.

Other bay is the '28 Model A coupe that needs the engine put back in. For more years than I care to admit.

Been working on tractors over the winter. Had an f-12 looking for a block, a Deere D, in search of some rear steel, a Farmall H, for a radiator repair. Also putting a pto clutch in the 720, an oil change, and some quick hitch repairs on the 7800, and a whole host of things for the Oliver crawler.
sheepherders.jpg

Got a lot of that finished up, and am now working on a sheepherder's wagon.

Mostly though, I'm in the office, working on taxes.

Your shop has as much stuff as mine, trying to figure out how to get rid of some of it. Every time I do, I end up finding more to put back in there.

Super Dexta is getting a new battery tray, rear axle seals, steering box seals, couple engine gaskets are leaking, and maybe a rear main. Also need to repair rear fender support where its rotted through. Probably ought to paint it too, but that doesn't look like much fun.

Also had my flatbed dump in a little while ago to replace the wood bed floor. Wanted to go steel, but it would have cost about 5 times as much.

Amazing how hard it was to get the old floor off even though it was in pretty rough shape.

I ended up making my own shiplap boards from treated 2 x 6s as no one stocks T & G in 18' length. That pile of sawdust is about 1/2 of what I ended up with.
