Yes and no.
Even hand tools made here are made with steel from overseas.

Even though Dewalt is a USA company and Makita is based in Japan; Makita builds more tools in the USA than Dewalt.

So some of your money is going overseas no matter what brand you buy.

Went to cracker barrel for breakfast this morning and in among all their china junk was a bunch of sock monkeys that were made in the USA, that is all well and good but the only problem is sock monkeys ain"t good for much of anything.
