oil suction gun....??

I have one that is a duplicate in every detail. Mine was purchased 45 years ago. If that one is even close to the same you are good to go. Jim

Just ordered it... If it sucks (or don't), it's all your fault and you's gonna hafta send me 10 bucks

I've heard alot of places like jiffylube use those to change engine oil because they couldn't trust their empoyees to put the drainplug back on. All the gunk settles to the bottom and doesn't get sucked up. Where as with the drain plug in the bottom the gunk gets drained out. I've heard it really gums up an engine doing it that way. I don't speak from personal experience but just from people i've talked to.

I think mine is a "plew" brand. Same bottom housing as their grease gun.
Absolutely junk. Draw up the liquid, runs back out as fast as drawed up.
I find a dollar store turkey baster works best.

My BIL had a service truck that he used to service garden tractors for the company he worked for .. It had a vacuum pump in it and a tank system to remove oil from the filler system,
I liked the idea, so I have been kicking around the idea of a 25 or 30 gal plastic food grade barrel with the screw on lid make holes on the lid to add a suction tube and a piece of PVC and use my large shop vac should do many small tractors and still be able to handle it without too much difficulty .

I have a lincoln that I bought 20 years ago. Use it a good bit. I have a extra long hose that I can reach down into a tank and suck out water or fuel with. Good for cleaning out small engine tanks.
