A vast right wing conspiracy here. First old channels gone, HDTV is finniky and short ranged. To throw us a fish, they start the THIS channel. Now, to finish us off, THIS has a 24 hour Pink Panther marathon.... how are we to eat? Sleep? Get anything done around here? It's an evil plot I tell ya. Commerical's over, I got to go!

OK, I'll bite- what channel on Dish is this THIS thing? I'm always up for a good Pink Panther marathon.

As to when to eat and sleep, that's what the DVR is for.

Your right. We also have RTV, Antenna TV and meTV. They run all the old shows from the '50s & '60s. Peter Gunn, Dragnet, Gunsmoke, Leave it to Beaver, Father Knows Best. I had to put George Burns Gracie and Allen on my daily schedule. How can a guy anything done when he has to watch TV all day.

It's mostly on OTA/broadcast tv, but some local cable and satellite carriers have it. In many cases, a local station must offer "THIS TV" for the cable/satellite carrier to pick it up.

THIS and ME have been good additions to the TV lineup, makes the digital changeover hassles almost worth it.

Generally speaking, digital TV -with over-the-air and antenna reception is longer ranged - not shorter. It requires the correct antenna though - pointing in the correct direction. Many channels changed transmitter tower locations when they dropped analog.

Ya get a TV for out in the shop, then ya watch and get something done LOL.. Had a small TV, antenna, and digital box show up in our shop a little more than a month ago.. I don't think the radio has been on since.. LOL.. (Oh, and my TV "viewing" is now up to most of the day from about a hour a day lol)

I'm about 90 miles each from Seattle and Portland, where the TV stations are. When digital TV first came out, someone on here gave a website where you could find out what digital TV you could get, with an antenna. Mine came up 2 PBS channels, and that was it. We never got great reception when it was analog, have been on satellite for probably 15 years.

They did mention satellite on the THIS website, so will look into it.
