Eaton hydraulic hangup

My Cockshutt 540 has a bad Cessna pump for power steering, I had this Eaton pump for awhile now, I knew it has pressure, so I made a new mounting plate, go to switch the hydraulic lines- nothing I have even catches a thread on the Eaton pressure side. The return is a hose clamp 3/8" line, I was going to braze a fitting on that.... but the pressure side out the cast iron is stumping me. What is up with that? Don't look like the threads are buggered up- seems to be a metric or???? I can post pics in the morning. Thanks in advance!

Like a copper tubing flared fitting? Could be! There is a cone in there to meet a flare. I'll try that in the morning, Thanks!

See if an o-ring fitting or orb fitting will go in. Many pumps use them. There should be little or no resistance when turning in till you get to the o-ring.

Thanks Wayne, I kept that in favortites- for next time- I checked it out again, yep, this thing takes a flared copper tubing with male thread fitting out, and a hose and clamp return... so this must be a rather low pressure outfit. It's got an industrial loader, so as long as it helps turn the wheel eh? Thanks again for all the quick and helpful replies guys!

You might want to check that again. Most hydraulic fittings are for steel tubing because of the pressure. A copper 45 degree flare and an inverted flare fittings (SAE J512) on a lot of automotive applications are also 45 degrees, but handle different pressures. The steel tubing has a double flare to handle hydraulic pressure.
