serial # 604467 sold from Lock Implement Store in lewisburg,ohio.4/10/1948 any information would very helpful.

I hope you can locate that JD . I lost tract of my Dads Ford 601 Workmaster about 11 yrs ago . Tried buying it at auction but I didn"t have enough cash with me so it went to Ohio somewhere . Best wishes & God bless, Ken

I have found several tractors over the years. You might get lucky by just posting the serial number all over the place but I doubt it. You are going to need to do some detective work.

1) You need to find someone that worked for Lock implement. They might have a lead on where it went first. That is getting harder as the guys are dieing off pretty fast.

2) If not someone that worked there then look for a long time customer of the store. They may know something. I have been amazed at how much of the store's business some customers know about.

3) Do you know if it had anything that made it different??? There where 300,000 of JD "A" sold. If it was just a standard tractor then it will be a long shot.
