been wanting to run the leader from the house and the sump pump to pipe under ground and send the water to the ditch by the road out front,did it today, been on my list of things to do for 6 years, Dugh it by hand,forgot to take a picture with the pipe,but did take one after it was covered up.

It looks good, I buried our sump line last summer but I only had to bury about 25 feet so it was a lot less work. It must feel good to have it off your list of things to do.

First thing I noticed was how straight and consistent your trench is. Second thing I saw was your coat laying by the tree. How long did it take you to cool down enough to put the coat back on? LOL! I'd be pooed out before I had half of that trench dug. Jim
 
what got me heated up was a few roots from the tree,wanted to chop them way back,and that did make me sweat a bit,as I was chopping I thought of how our forefathers chopped down trees and removed stumps with an ax,so I should be able to chop a few roots .. lol
 
it was a nice day ,so I couldnt come up with an excuse,I am always to busy to do it in the summer,and it is to wet in the spring,usually the ground is too froze in the winter!
 
In 1979 I had a blue and white truck,and I painted all the handles on the tools blue and white,I just keep doing it, easy to keep track of whos tools are whos,not that people take them,they just get mixed up if your working with someone else
 
Last summer when it was 108 deg, I went outside to install some pvc conduit for an outlet (gfci) that I wanted out in the middle of the back yard. My two chihuahuas thought the freshly dug earth was cooler than the rest of the yard and layed in the ditch and on the dug out dirt for a while. I thought it was funny. I'm trying to attach pic, don't know if it will work though.
