Just wondering some of the coolest tractor pulling names you guys have seen or just names for a tractor in general.

Some of my favorites:
"pulling for a cure" -a pink tractor
"fencerow fugitive"
"corn star"
"fergy-licious"
"olivia" (oliver)

Back in the day,Earl and Ezra Dunn had a Farmall 806 they called Precision Guesswork.

The first tractor I ever saw that I'd call a "smoker" was an Oliver 1800 called Big Ollie. Trying to remember the guys name. He ran an elevator in Mason Michigan I think it was.

First low slung modified I ever saw, built in the same ground up configuration that all of them are now days was Scott Bakers Home Wrecker.

Of course then there were EJ Potters Allison powered tractors. He never painted anything. There was the Ugly Tractor, the Little Tractor and Double Ugly. Little Tractor was the first Allison powered tractor to pull in the 5000 pound class. Double Ugly had a W24 Allison instead of a V12.

I knew I'd remember as soon as I posted. I even knew his name was Jim,just couldn't remember the last name of the guy who owned Big Ollie. Jim Berne. (or Bernie maybe, that's how it was pronounced)

Not a tractor, but I saw a boat once named "Wasted Wood".

Another boat named "Mama's Mink".

A northern Ohio Puller and his son pulled a Massy (differential was the only Massy part) called Sassy Massy, and a garden tractor called Grimm Reaper.
Grimm's tractors eventually were powered by Arfons sourced Gas Turbines and the same tractor ran in 5000 through unlimited classes. He was paid to tour and in the top five nationally in the late 1970s.
Jim

rrlund, you mentioned Jim Bernie (sp) from the Mason elevator, I remember him pulling an 8000 Ford "smoker" quite a bit around the Mid Michigan area.

i remember an ih called "makin bacon",they were large hog farmers. also,"WICKED WHITETAIL",
a john deere i watch on utube often.

That seems to spark a little bit of memory somewhere. I know Big Ollie disapeared off the circuit. Big Ollie would have been back around the mid 70s. It sure was a crowd pleaser. I remember they weren't going to let him pull in Ionia one time because they said his drawbar was too high. I thought the crowd was going to tear the place apart. The announcer told the officials there must be a dip in the ground where they were measuring. He said move it and try again. They did and he was OK then.

Guy here in washington county, NY has: THE HOOKER "Whole lot of money for such a short ride"
accross his pulling truck

Couple of 66 or 86 series IH's, Red Barron and Red Barron II
Older Minneapolis Molines, no idea of models, Underdog and Underdog II
Baier Power, first I saw was a 9700 Ford, later a 70 series Case, driven by Shirley Baier of Baier Tractor Parts. The 9700 was returned to stock form and sold. Used on a farm 4 miles east of me until it sucked a valve a few years ago. Still sitting there, AFAIK.

Who remembers " Half Throttel Brandt " from the Davenport, Iowa area in the late 1950 s early 60 s. Mr Brandt was a middle age fellow at the time , also a ' stocky' built man.
He had a Farmall 460 gasser, with an oxygen tank plus a few other fuel bottles /tanks & regulators on it.
He had the RPM s higher than any other pulling tractor in that part of the country at the time hense the name 1/2 Throttle.
The truck that he hauled on was an 1959 era Chevy.
I have seen him pull many times in that area og Iowa & Ill. . If he could keep everything running rite , it was Good Buy Compittion .clint

"Duct Tape Deere", actually a very nice looking tractor but built from parts of 5 tractors.
"Captain Blueberry", a Ford 9000 or 9600.

For the mods I like mean rotten and nasty, of the Ferry bros, for super farm the IH named determination, of Burts.

We have one in the museum now known as "Moon Rocket" It was built in the USA and pulled in Saskatoon in the 80's It had a stock diesel engine that had been modified to produce some 1200 HP.

Don't forget the late Lowell Shimon from Pocohontas Ia and his MM called Barnyard Bi**h. Rhymes with ditch.

First super stock diesel I saw was "The Chief".
806 Farmall. Had about a foot of cherry red out the stack then solid black smoke.
Pulled as a demonstration, when I first saw it,because there was not another super stock to pull against him.

Ej Potter's F30 came from my BIL's father. First upside down tractor I had seen. My 435 JD name is Racketty Boom! Vic

Anyone remember the Sly Fox (and Sly Fox 2,3....)this guy had several of them in 70-80-90's started out with olivers and last one I remember was a White
