2002 Ford excursion glow plug relay......

Our 02 excursion needs the glow plug relay
replaced. Local parts counter says there is a
relay for the plugs themselves, and a relay for
the intake heater.....is that correct? Looks like
it is all through one relay....and the relay they
sold me is different than the one on the passenger
side valvecover......all help appreciated!!
 
2000- 2003 should have separate relays. One for the glow plug circuit and one for the air-intake heater. If you are replacing the relay for the glow plugs - get a good one. Many sold are short lived due to low amp capacity. They can draw near 100 amps at times. Many of the cheap relays are only rated 150 amps momentary which isn't really adequate.
 
Where is the relay for the glow plugs at? I can't find it.....was told it was next to the relay for the intake heater......but it is not.....
