Today was the end of my pickin and choosin...
Wanted a good digging shovel, ones available here leave a lot to be desired. Decided on a Fiskars cause they's sposed ta be good. Made in Germany, lifetime gaurantee.... Website I ordered it from says "made in germany"...... Got it in the mail today with a big sticker on it that says "made in china"......

Ya just cant get away from it!!... Whats so appalling the Souvenirs of the good ole USA and Individual States... are made in CHINA... those things .. Of all things should be made Here,, Figure that one out LOL!!

Its all a matter of how you interpet it.Probably Put together in germany, out of chinese parts.Sometimes I think if the power failed in china there would imediatly be a worldwide shortage of manufactured goods.

Pick up some montana silversmith's trinkets....... open the blade on a buck knife at walmart.....

Yep, just can"t seem to get away from it anymore.
The one that really irritated me.....
Took my Dad who is a WWII vet to the VA clinic for an appointment. Got in to see the nurse first who asked if he had gotten one of the nice insulated bags for carrying your meds (or whatever) in. They even had them in blue and pink. He said no so she gave him one. Really nice bag. I looked closely at the bag when I got him back home and yep you guessed it, tag inside the bag says "Made in China". Amazing, not even our own government can buy things made in our own country to give to our veterans.

Here's one for you the wife wanted a new teapot, a
seamless one so it won't leak. I was at a Amish
country store and they had them, the one on the
shelf said "Made in Germany" on it so I picked up
one of the teapots in the box. Come Christmas
morning she opened her gift took it out of the box
you guessed it same teapot BUT made in China. Guess
even the Germans are outsourcing their work.

the only good thing is, if its made in china, its probably made out of scrapped antique american tractors and implements, after all of the scrapping done in the last few years.

I got one too! I had to take it on the sander and sand the edges or it would of cut a hole in my pocket! POS! That's why I have bought so many tools from HF, if it's going to be cheap $hit made in china, it better be cheap!

That's funny, I posted about baby spoons to feed infants with
being made in china, and all I got was flak for it. Now u post
about a china made shovel to dig a hole in the ground and
it's ok!?? Wow? Any way I use Wolverine hand tools,, most
are all steel including the handle and r made in USA.
Expensive but worth it. Lol

U.S. Customs agent in Houston gave me a nice Customs coin-sized shield in a plastic sleeve. Took it home and of course there was Made in China sticker on the back. Even the feds goodies are made there!

As far as shovels, a Tru-Temper #2 used to be top notch, but don"t know about now.

Well, the only knife I will buy is a CASE. I think it is the only knife still truly made in the USA. Buck, Shrade, Uncle Henry and a few others claim to be USA made, but I have seen a few with made in china on the blade.

Who knows, maybe they were counterfeit Chinese versions of the real thing. I always check what is in the package for the real made in USA. Some things that have a USA sticker on the box are only either packaged in the USA or are in a box made in the USA. DOUG

I have found items in a package where the print on the package says, "packaging made in USA"........made me so damn proud that I nearly cried!
