We are going to the farm show in Louisville next week.Never have been so what I need to know is the best way to get there.Be coming from St.Louis on 64.
The first bridge into town is closed. So do I go to the next or the third. The map also shows a bridge in a town called Mauckport. My wife and I like the back roads just for the scenery. Is this a good idea or should I stay on the interstate. We're staying on the southwest side of Louisville.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks and go Giants.

We go from SC to IA to visit family. Crossing at Louisvillve has been so bad, plus Indianapolis is building a beltway which is not finished, that we have quit going that way. We go to Nashville and then go north on I24 then cross country in IL, dodging St. Louis. This does not help you. We have crossed the 3 bridges at Louisville. The upstream bridge coming from IN was the worst. Going across it from KY was not too bad, but it is confusing and crowded since they run 2 interstates across it.
The next bridge down stream was better, but a truck driver I know told me they had closed it. Last trip we crossed the down stream bridge which was not bad, but then we crossed late in the day. That's the I64 bridge which will take you to the SW side of Louisville. It's been over a year since we went there, so no garuntees about present conditions.

I can't find the town you mentioned on the map.

Map shows that you could leave I64 at exit 105 on hwy 135 and cross the river at Brandenburg then go cross country to hwy 31w to go around Ft Knox. How much that would help depends on where you are going in Louisville.

Hope this helps.
