Another Passing

As of March 1st 2012 Western Tractor of Albuquerque New Mexico will be closing it's doors for ever. The last place that kept older Ford tractor parts on the shelf. The last place I could call and say I have this tractor and need this piece and they know what I want and what else I may need with it and if there is a problem causing me to maybe need another one. Now all I have is a part orderer in Clovis or Farmington that needs me to give them the number and if is obsolete then it's to bad and they can't get it. If anyone out there knows a particular parts man in either location that knows what they are doing and are real parts men and not just computer jockeys, let me know, so I won't waist my time trying to hand feed them. And if any of you know of a trustworthy house that does mail order and knows the subject matter I will take that information with glee and with thanks to all contributors. I always will take the word of a peer before that of a salesman. LarryT

Hate to hear that. Always seemed like nice folks to me. It's kinda a pain but I been lookin stuff up myself (on the new holland website) then ordering it from Rusler Equipment in Peublo. They seem to be pretty good at shipping and common stuff is in stock. Good Luck

Just had an old Oliver place go out up in Pennsatuck. Big sale over two or three days. All kindsa parts, blocks to sheet metal. Sad to see them go...

A dealer closed in our town last year. Same guy operated for about 50 years. Decided to retire. Started out as Allis-Chalmers dealer but sold New Holland last. That only left one JD dealer in town and they are owned now by a big company that operates about half dozen dealerships. A New Holland dealer in a nearby town opened a satellite store here a few months ago but they don't seem to be doing much.

we sell older tractor parts and ship all across america --try to be 30% under ford dealer--due to lower costs and better buying---have 2 good parts men who know how to use the old books
