17 inch, 8 bolt truck wheels?

what are my options to change a mid 80's Ford 3/4 ton 4x4 to 17 inch wheels? Did Ford,Dodge and Chevy change to metric pattern in later years?

Ford changed over to metric in 1998. I think the others have stayed the same. I was gonna buy a tire wheel combo set from Summit High performance for the 97 F350 PS but sold the truck.

I have a pair that are surplus because it turned out that I needed 18s for my '06 Super Duty.

should be a 8 x 6.5 bolt pattern. as long as you know the bolt pattern buying wheels shouldnt be hard. summit racing has a good selection.

I thought I would like to have these wheels. Would the tires last 100,000 miles, like on a big truck? It would also slow your RPMs down.

Ford used both patterns in 97, it just depended which cab you bought. The metric pattern uses a hub centered wheel and I don t believe they will interchange at all.
