Harry Fergusen

can anyone give me some kind of an idea what might be a good price on a 1950 t030 Harry Fergusen with 3point blade and runs half way deceint, and are they a realy desirable tractor?

In my never to be humble opinion, they were a lot better tractor that the Ford 8N because of the engine. Price will vary a lot by location, but around here,realistically,$1000-1500.

Ask you local dealers then advertise lots of places even on photo adds on this site never know when a collector is looking for another the price will vary due to location as shipping costs are pricey.

Im not selling it im looking at it and thinking about buying it. Im in north west Il.not sure if its the first tractor i want to buy or not!

If I was looking for a tractor that size,I wouldn't be afraid of it. I'm in Michigan,so I wouldn't think that price I gave would be too far off for you.

It's a $1000 tractor in my part of New York and that's in reasonably good shape. A Ferguson TO35 Deluxe MUCH more tractor then a TO30. T035 Deluxe models with hi-low trans, live PTO, and power steering often bring $3000 in good shape. I've bought several beaters though for $700-$800.

A TO30 is going to be useless for jobs that require slow speeds - esp. running a rear tiller or snow blower.

i've had 2 and both had bad blocks, check it out to be sure there are no cracks,..usually crack between cyclinders so look at oil and water to see if one is leaking into the other,...you couldn't chase me far enough to sell me another...

I've bought TO-30's in good running condition anywhere from $800 to a $1000, used them several years and sold them at $1700 to $2000 , have had 4 of them over the years, all but one was a good tractor. I wouldn't pay over 2000 for one today and it better have four good tires and strong lift for that price. Be sure to check the oil to make sure no water has seeped in as those engines were prone to cracking, my three good TO-30's that I once owned had been repaired by having the blocks pinned, never had any problems with them.
