While driving my tractor without heat to pick up hay... At least wind isn't a big problem because I have the cab and going the direction that the wind blows in the back there is a roundbale blocking it....
But how nice would it be to have a pair of coveralls with some heat net (??) in them and you just plug a cable into the cigarette lighter????

Course you'd hafta remember to unplug it and not pee your pants but that shouldn't be too hard......

I had a heated vest and pair of shorts for motorcycle riding. It
was great on fall days when it was sunny and nice but had a
cool breeze and under 50 degrees. My best had a control but
the pants only had high and low. They are a bit pricey but well
worth the money.

My granddad's heated suit was shot out over Germany. His hands froze to the gun and when they landed in England (Knettishall) had to be removed by surgeons. They must work!

Just go to your local BMW motorcycle dealer. every serious BMW rider has a set. Whenever you see a motorcycle out in cold weather here it is a BMW.

Dave,

I used to have a pair of electric socks. Each sock was powered with a single D cell battery. I didn't think that they made much, if any, difference. I finally quit using them. Maybe they were defective from the beginning, but they really didn't work for me.

Buy a pair of insulated coveralls. I have the Carhart's that are supposed to be good to -40. It don't get that cold round here!

calm down... just kiddin a little... was actually a real nice day ... sunny and clear as a bell... Just seldom gets more than a degree or two below freezing in this area... 50+ a few days ago and 10 overnight last night... I know 14 is warm this time of year for some of you folks....

Sure wish we had something like that when we used to feed 1000 head of beef cows with a team of horses and bobsled anywhere from 0 to -25 every morning!

Look for snowmobiler's heated clothing or motorcyclist's heated clothing. Snowmobile clothing should be heavily discounted this year. Possibly also available much cheaper as surplus military clothes or aircraft crew's clothing. Is Axe Man Surplus still in business?

You can get 12 volt electric blankets for use in vehicles.

Go and buy some under armour base 3.0 performance base layer...this is a special type of underwear it is not cheap but it the next best thing to sitting in front of the fire..they run $ 70.00 for the bottom
