Ok Guys What is your “Cylinder Index”. Cylinder Index is the number of internal combustion engines you own and how many cylinders they have.
Example 560 international =6 cylinders.
Chain saws =3
Truck =8
Lawn mowers =2
You can count up all the engines you also have a intent to use some day for a future project.
My Cylinder Index is 112
Your Cylinder Index should be at least your age if not more.
Start counting.
Brian

Now that we know this info the EPA can start taxing you accordingly. LOL for now but just wait I bet they are working on this idea.

So my cylinder index matches my gun index - 0

You may be right about the EPA but your thinking like a abundant. If the Conservatives had their way, the number should be twice your age. If your 60 years old, you should have 120 cylinders or more. Stands to reason the older you are the more your expected to spend vs a teenager or a young family man in his twenties.

The more machines you buy the more you spur the economy. Better economy means more jobs. More jobs mean more taxpayers. More taxpayers mean fewer people on government handouts. Next thing you know the whole economy is humming along.

Or you can break it down like this.
More cylinders means more manufacturing. More manufacturing means more demand for parts and services. More parts and services means more demand for more jobs. More jobs means more demand for people with education. More education means more demand for teachers. Teachers can't teach without kids. Can't have kids without...well...a bit of plowing in fertile ground. See where this is going?

Now get out there and do your patriotic duty.
Service the ol lady then go to a tractor auction and help save this country from the cylinderless among us!

119 if I added corect.Mite add it again latter when I have more time . I am 74 .
This is something I never thought of, interesting .
Has anyone added up the tractor horse power that they have , then figgured it per acre? I did a friends 30 yrs ago.It was over 300HP . He had 2 acres tho. clint

My recollect is that it had a four stroke four row radial engine with five cylinders per row. In addition, it used a number of hydraulic cylinders for steering/guidance. And, of course, more hydraulic cylinders for the lifting mechanism. But, just to get the thing moving took on the order of 23. I think. Good question, though. (;>))

I'm 60 and my number of cylinders is 80. Horsepower is 275 for 65 acres not counting combines. Chris
