Hi, require a nut to fit over the copper bolt on a I H starter/battery connection. Did read on this board a while back, there is a nut that has threads on the inside to go down over the copper stud and is threaded on the outside. What are these called in Canada and where do you purchase? thanks, Murray

that nut is only 1/2 the thickness of a reg. nut and has larger diameter.it also uses a 5/8 wrench instead of 9/16 wrench.try napa or bumper as its kind of a specialty thing. if you have old starters around chk. for one.

If you can find some piece of thick scrap copper you might can make one. Don't need a big piece.
Drill out and tap the piece to screw down over the stud.

If you know it's a 3/8 brass stud you need to determine if has coarse or fine threads. Go to your auto parts store and ask for a hex 3/8 nut
and tell them what thread it has fine or coarse. If your starter stud is metric you may need a metric nut. Hal

If your stud is in bad shape, Steiners have repair studs that thread over the damaged one and create new threads. Not expensive at all.
