Got conformation on custom grips in rose wood w/ carvings.Been on order for a little under a month . makes the ppk5 look nice. put on custom grips on the 44 mag,new front and rear sights.Got the grip extension on the PPk clip. great company to deal with SMITH & WESSON. was wondering how many pistol owners dress up their pistol pride possessions. Also got conformation on 100 bullets for the 380(PPK) coming this week. Cost of the bullets was $6.75. Bargain . Now comes an interesting video (lengthly but great) need to watch it in it's entirety.Makes a person think twice.Lawyers dream. Makes sense though! If you watch it, I would like your opinion (as would other posters)on the validity of the statements voiced on the video.Regards LOU.

Most of the guns I have I would never and will never do an up grade because to do so would make them worth a lot less. One I have has a super low serial number and to do more then just shoot it and clean it would make it a gun worth a lot less and at this time it could well be in the $10,000 price range since it has such a low as in lower then the 5th one made. Then I also have a Tokeroff (sp) which was a WW2 bring back that again to mess with it makes it worth very little

Some truth to what you say about re-arranging items on fire arms. ONE EXCEPTION!Having the gun manufacture install the items you want on the piece before having them ship it out to you or the dealer.Custom factory installation wouldn't de-value the gun. If I can change the items I want, (keeping the original pieces)for re-installation, would keep the value as an antique /original, high in value. I 'm not wanting to re-sell any fire arm-revolver,semi auto. shotgun etc.Just my personal preference. All the guns we own has increased in value over the years. Some use firearms as a hedge against inflation. Smart thinking. LOU

I have put custom grips and sights on some of mine but kept the original parts so they can be put back to original condition.

I put oversized grips on all of my pistols, big hands. I put sights and things on em that make them more usable to me except for the 2 I own that are classed as collector or collectable guns.

I like Boyd's replacement stocks. On a one rifle that I know I'll never sell I have had my initials engraved. The rifle looks very sharp – even though it is a fairly “cheap” rifle (stainless Marlin XS7 in 308).

As for the video - it’s what I've always said "There's nothing you can tell the police that your lawyer can't say for you". One need only remember that justice is incidental to the legal system.

This is a court of law, young man, not a court of justice. ~Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr.

Justice is incidental to law and order. ~John Edgar Hoover

Although the legal and ethical definitions of right are the antithesis of each other, most writers use them as synonyms. They confuse power with goodness, and mistake law for justice. ~Charles T. Sprading, Freedom and its Fundamentals

There is plenty of law at the end of a nightstick. ~Grover Whalen

I mostly keep mine as they came from the factory. Exceptions being a thumb mag release on my Ruger MKII and beavertail grip, skeletonized hammer and adjustable trigger on my Colt 1991A1. Kept all original parts.

Ya I know about investing in them as a way to have $$. I may self collect guns when I can and have around 30 of them in the house. I do have one or 2 that are next to impossible to find ammo for and even then if I did find the ammo I am not sure I would want to try to fire them. I also reload a lot of my own ammo so as to help keep the cost of shooting down

Some of my guns have fancy grips and stocks.

But my carry pistols are plain jane and bare bones, because carrying everyday beats the gun up. It will get scratches, finish worn off from the holster, etc so no sense having fancy rosewood grips or something when they are just bound to get scratched and dented up.

elmersooner. could mean he/she practices a lot cause they couldn't hit a bull in the a-- with a bass fiddle.lol. I would be leary of a persons gun thats like new cause they are all trough with the practice sessions, and can hit a gnat in full speed flight during a high wind snow blizzard. LOU.
