need help identifying pistons

I have a set of pistons i need help identifying, this will take the expertise of a caterpillar expert. They are caterpillar pistons with casting number 8L 4066. I am told they were out of a 3304 engine but have not confirmed that. They only have 2 ring grooves, the top groove has a hardened seat for the compression ring and the bottom is for the oil ring. They are 4.75" in diameter, flat tops, and have a 1.5" diameter pin. My end goal here is to find a set of rings for them, i have been unsuccessful in finding them so far. Thanks for any help!

Hate to sound obnoxious, but have you called a Cat dealer and asked for the parts dept? They can probably run the casting number and see if it gets them anywhere.

If it is have you looked in any Piston ring catalogs? Also have you looked at a 3306 which should be the same engine size only a 6 cylinder. Most likely the top ring is also akeystone ring.

3204's and 3208's did use 2 ring pistons, that was one of problems with them. The hot set up is to go with IPD 3 ring pistons.

Thanks for the info. I haven't tried calling the CAT dealer but I think I have enough information to give them a call now. A natural gas motor was probably at least 10:1 compression I'm guessing? I'm looking to use these for pulling so was hoping they would be robust enough.
