nozzle/injector tester

If this is a one time thing - can't you find a local farm equipment dealer to check them for you - or let you do it with their tester? We did it as a free service at our Deere dealership. So did the Ford-New Holland dealer down the road from us.

The absolute best buy is the Chinese injector testers that were around last year for $79 - brand new. I bought two just to have on hand (I've already got an OTC).

Hardy Diesel had them last year for $79 with all the popular fittings to fit most tractors and pickup trucks . .

Or you can make your own with a bottle jack. My son (elec engineer - not a mechanic) just made his own from a jack to test his injectors in his truck . .

Several tractor and engine makers also used bottle jacks. Here's a Buda injector tester . .

Here are a couple more home-made testers . .

Or - you can buy an OTC for $800 that doesn't do the job any better then the homemade versions.

Safety first.. pictures are misleading make sure to have your injectors in a pipe when they pop to keep from geting sprayed at that high pressure. it is easy to make a home made stand

I've been testing injectors for 50 years. Never had one inside a "pipe" and I'm still alive to tell about it. Give me a break!

I suppose a photo of a hammer would be "misleading" because a person could hit themself in the head with it?

I will post info and assume some people have common sense. If not? Let Darwin's Natural Selection kick in.
