wonder why it's hard to find a vet etc??

The guy is refering to the degree verus the job market right now. With smaller farms being snatched up by larger operations the demand for managers is getting smaller.

My son has a BS in International Agriculture. A masters in Ag. econ. and his MBA.

Not sure exactly what he makes as a Strategic Acct. Mgr. for Mosaic fertilizer, but he just built a 6 bedroom, 5 bath home in a suburb of Minneapolis, bought a 120 acre row crop farm 3 years ago, and has two new Mercedes cars. And he sure didn't get any $$ from me. He had previous jobs with Corporate John Deere and Syngenta.

His business is going great guns.

Now on the other end. I have heard that many of the football players at my alma mater, MU, are now listed as Ag. majors. You can bet your sweet bippie that they wont land farm jobs.

I would have thought PE Teacher would be the top job on the list. While math teachers are in HUGE demand there are 5 or 6 PE teachers for every job that comes available.

I saw that post, but than what about these?

Low unemployment...

(quoted from post at 04:15:11 01/20/12) Just saw a blurp on Yahoo about useless college majors...
3 of the top 5 on the useless list was ag related........

You can make surveys and statistics do whatever you want, but you still have young/impressional folks reading it and taking it as gospel......

Done now...
