Here is the deal knowing how everyone needs something. Was pulling out some old stuff today. Homemade grader very old. The rear axel appears to be front steering axel from an early truck. These wheels are solid cast with pressed or formed on HARD rubber. In remarkably good condition. I found a photo of early IH truck with some that look much like thes. Only marking is the word or letters smith... IF anyone has a need or know where to go with these wheels speak fast. Planing on loading tomorrow. Scrap is $ 300 a ton now.

Armand Very crud made of angle iron and beams. Uses large gear boxes for blade lift, Broke up pretty goot from use with late model large tractor. Night here now and was planing on loading in the morning. You can check between 7 & 8 am Central time. Located in Tenn.. Where are you located..? About $ 900.00 worth of scrap. Let me know if you are still intrested.

Whatever you do, I'd save the axle. At least the wheels anyway. Try advertising them in the classifieds. I think yt has another forum for trucks, you might try advertising them on there.

Put a picture of the axle on your local craigs list, the steam engine guys love this type axle/wheel, for the carts they use to mount the engines on. Figure scrap worth, and multiply X3, or some outrageous figure, like $100/wheel. I know they go pretty high, sometimes, on fleabay!

It"s shocking that anyone would scrap something
like these !
My property is full of "GOOD" stuff, like those
wheels. On the day I die my wife will call the
Scrappers, to cart it all away...SAD !

post a pic in the truck forum, and also try the wheels of time magazine that wheel is in good condition and will be highly sought by restorers of early trucks, dont scrap it they dont make those anymore

(quoted from post at 13:18:28 01/19/12) Hi Eldon, if available, would you please post a picture of your entire IB/Roustabout? Thank you.
It is for sale.....or trade. It is the only one I have been able to verify in existance.
