Right side of the differential hub at the rear toward the axle.

WRONG serial number on a WD/WD45 is on the left axle housing just below the brake cover

Serial number is on the left rear of the axle housing. If you stand behind the tractor and lay your left hand on the tire and your right hand on the seat and look forward and down you should see the brake cover on the left side. Just below the cover is a flat spot where the serial number is stamped

You're right. My WC was on the right side.

Ah but did you know most WC have it on the left side also but if I remember right it was the unstyled ones that had it on the right
