O.T. Cold sores

Ever since I was a little kid, I have had cold sores. Especially in the winter. Went to the doctor's and he gave me shots, but they only last about three months, then right back to having them again. Then a friend told me I should be taking L-Lysine tablets. Went to Wally World and bought a bottle off the shelf. I take one tablet every day. I haven't had a cold sore in over two years! That stuff works!

The cold sore virus (herpes simplex or herpes libialis)and the shingles virus (herpes zoster)are similar in their attack on nerves. Many have reported that L-Lysine helps shingles so it wouldn"t surprise me if it helped with cold sores.

I have been taking L-Lysine pills for 10 or more years. A local druggist told me to try them. I start taking them in the fall when it first cools off thru the winter into spring. Can't remember the last time I had a cold sore. Works for me. Chris
