I posted on here a couple of weeks ago about pulling my radiator out and fixing it correctly or using stop leak.
Well I pulled it out of my 706 and took it to a radiator shop. They called yesterday and said that it is junk. It is so rotten and pitted that I need a new one.
OK so my question is who has the best price on a new one?
Thanks in advance
Matt

I live in central Illinois.
A wihtout shopping around so far Ebay has new radiators for around $ 450 on up to $700. The radiator repair shop can put new cores in it or $525.00. and get a new one from them for 585.00.
So I think I am going to look for new one.
Thanks
Matt

I took a tractor radiator to a shop for repair and was told it was junk.

I took it to another shop that said it was fine, they fixed it and it is still going 10 years later.

May be worth a try if you are unsure of its condition.

Prices range from $505. up to $523. depending on year and whether gas, LP, or diesel.

Probably could have it on your doorstep in a day or two.

What is the differences on radiators as far as quality?
Thought of taking it someplace else for second opinion but now sure yet.

Thanks
Matt

I had a radiator on my "new" A that was junk and the shop recored it for me. A lot of replacement radiators are almost junk when you get them. If you get the old one recored by a good shop you know you'll have a good radiator and it will fit back on your tractor.

I shopped around on-line and got the best priced one I could find for an AC WD45. It looked OK, but the upper neck was mounted differently, requiring a different hose. The killer was the side plates were fastened on tapered down narrower at the bottom. I was hoping they would just take it back. They were good enough to talk to me, but wanted to make it right(according to them). They wouldn't believe me that the sides should be perfectly straight. Their "original" they had for a pattern was supposedly narrower at bottom. They re-soldered another one, and sent it to me for an exchange. In the meantime, I took my old one to the radiator shop, had it fixed(that was another ordeal) and re-installed it.
So- I will not buy anything like that again where I can't take it back.
Anybody need a WD radiator?
