Couldn't resist taking a few photos today considering the weather.

Good thing you took pictures. After tomorrow night it looks like it's gonna be just a memory.

Yes, I am an hour or so south of You.
Wow, I am amazed at 47F temps in January.....WTF?
I guess Al Gore might have been right....Hmmm...Nope.

Shoots last years theory right out the window don't it? I don't even know who that nut job was on here a year ago when it was so cold, claiming it was absolute fact that the ice caps had melted and changed the ocean currents already, making it so cold. They must have refrozen over the summer I guess.

Hi, the storm is suppose to be in our area,(east coast of Canada) on thursday night. We are most day's having spring like weather. cheers

You shoulda seen the line at Cargill in Wahpeton yesterday.
All the fairweather haulers screwing it up for us contract
guys.

Down here in South central Michigan we are being forced to withstand another onslaught of global warming, for today and tomorrow anyway. Makes me think Dad was really right when he said a normal year is just the average of 10 abnormal years. I wonder what talking head is going to project cold or warm for the rest of the winter. Meanwhile I'm going to keep on cutting firewood.
Great pictures--kepp them coming.

Same in California. Hasn't rained in 70 days when we normally would have had 6 or 7 inches. Temps in the 60's. High pressure ridge off the coast just keeps hanging there. Talked to a friend today who seeded 100 acres to alfalfa in November to get in the organic hay market. Got about 1/2 inch tall and just sits there. Two more weeks and all that seed is toast.

I was looking at the snowfall records for the Rochester NY area on the NOAA website, and very few of the seasonal records are from recent history.

Some of our mildest winters, and some of our worst winters, were in the 1950's.

At least around here, it's only the FOURTH least amount of snowfall we've ever had. We only got 41 inches of snow in the winter of 1952-1953.
