Injector Pump parts JD 2240

My injector pump is leaking on my 2240. Is there any way to purchase the gaskets and seals for the pump? Running really well, just leaking. My local JD dealer says it's impossible to purchase without sending to Shreveport, LA to be rebuilt. Thanks!
 
That's pure BS if it's a CAV/Lucas pump. Gasket and seal kits available many places.

Deere Company no longer sells those parts anymore, but plenty of other places do.

The local monster-mega diesel/electric place actually handed me a few little parts and showed me how to replace the seal on the speed control shaft on a Stanadyne. Of course they had to give me the disclaimer that probably the bushing, housing, or shaft, or something else was wrong, but I figured I could afford to listen.
They just insulted me and turned me off on some antique starter parts.
So, all I can say is keep looking and maybe you can find someone who is willing to help.
 
If you like call me at 574 893 4172 after 7 PM, need to know what pump you have and where it is leaking. Should have what you need.
 
Rich, Thank you. I will give you a call tomorrow evening, I need to get back in front of the pump and have one more look. It is a CAV-Lucas pump though, I'm sure.
 
i get the gasket o-ring from my ago allis dealer as the jd dealer dont carry them i dont even think jd has aparts number for them

JD has the gasket & o-rings for the 2240 inj pump.
