With the help from old hector and dave 9252 we got the mill set up and running, I just have a little fine tuning to do.

WOW, good on ya. I figured it would be awhile before it was put together. You must have some strong coffee in the morning!

Coffee... More like the big stick he was prodding us with...
And many thanks for that flattering pic (no 2) Lyle, i do have a good side after all!!

I bet it took longer to download the pictures than it took you guys to set up the mill. What are those main beams? 8X18's? Must have come from good ol BC spruce... Up and running in one afternoon? I am so impressed... I won't even make any 3 stooges jokes!!!

Lyle, if you ever figure out how to bottle that energy and "get up and go" you have, I'll be wanting to order several cases.

That is 'your' fantail stern Dave? Cripes. I reckoned that was Lyle's impersonation of a full moon. Too much Chinese food lately...
So. You are off to the front again? Well old son, keep your ammo dry, your bayonet sharp, and mind the zulus...

be careful of those dog's running close to the saw, man i use to turn logs for had a couple pieces of saw bit in the back of his head from the saw hitting a dog, sawing the last log for the week, man turning logs pulled it out to much, he didn't see it in time to stop just tried to get clear but still got hit , they used a dust board just above the saw he said it was full of metal

(quoted from post at 05:02:16 01/09/12) Not often you see the moon and sun shining at the same time!
nd thats a british military moon.LOL he dont know I was trying to get some pennies down thar LOL

Just wait till mon. ain't going to bee a damm tree left on his place! just a big pile of that there sawdust.

he best bee watchin that there belly too, wood only want to bee turning to the right if I was him, left truns wood cost him a pound or two.

Looks good there are quite afew of those sawmills around here.I even had one for a while,a National#1. The millers hang about a two foot long 2x6 between just in front of the blade, high enough so the log doesn't catch it when its being cut. This will catch most of the broken metal teeth when you hit frozen clods, dogs, rocks, fencing, and so forth. Also a heavy gauge(like 3/16"with 1/2" holes) wire mesh screen right in front of the operator station. The saw has insert teeth?Should be a good adventure plus all the lumber you will have.(to move)

saw the youtube show. You wanna watch those slabs falling off there; they fall back into the saw & they shoot like arrows back toward the sawyer. Need a set of rolls for'em to fall on & get carried off.

Amazing what you can do when you have the right "toys" I mean equipment to use. Use it safelyand enjoy!!! Armand
