It is unusual but compared to last year at this time,3 feet on the ground,I'll take it.We will get hammered at some point. When is the question.

Never had it,but I think we can compare it maybe,to being in remission with cancer. It's nice, but you know it's coming back.

And here we are in New Mexico 30 miles from the ski area with the most snow in the nation. Tomorrow, 60% chance of rain and snow high of 38 low of 22. Tuesday high of 47. Just enough precipitation to keep everything muddy and us out of the fields.
Ground hasn"t frozen yet this year. Got about 60 acres I need to disk and can"t. All of which we are needing to laser level. Couldn"t do it in the fall due to rain and snow. We need the water, but we need more in the mountains up north for irrigation this summer. We had to dump all our reserves this fall so the Texans and Mexicans could let it go running into the Gulf of Mexico while they pump it out of the Aquifers. Oh well, Leave the water rights to the politicians and everyone goes thirsty.

Picked up a couple bales of rounds for a friends horses today, Farmer we got it off of said nother neighbor didn't get all his corn in yet and has of late been still working at it in the mornings while the ground isn't to greasy 54° here today and lots of sun.

Moved a couple of hundred feet of hi tensile fence around the hay shed yesterday, worked in shirt sleeves. Temps in hi 50's or low 60's. Unbelieveable weather for January, dry, warm and not muddy or cold as all he!! and frozen. Blam it on la Nina!
