hi i have just bought a fordson major can anybody tell me what year it is the enjine number is EIAOON6015G i think as its hard to read thanks steve

E1A Majors were built from 1951 until 1964, they were suceeded the E27N, abd followed by the 1000 series pre force tractors (3, 4, and 5000 models)

Really need a casting code of the transsion or engine to date... casting dates are often a month or 2 before final assembely

Look...flange of the flywheel housing near the starter mounting.

OR

pad at the front right hand side of the engine cylinder block.

probably 7 figures upto 10/61..
