Tractors and pictures

I am the photographer for our local tractor club(so that makes THIS tractor related) and at every January meeting I put all of the pictures from the preceding year on boards for display. I use a smooth white bathroom type board to mount the pictures on and gobs of Poster Putty to hold the pictures. As I usually have over 200 pictures it is a slow and tiresome job getting that Poster Putty off of the boards and especially the backs of the photos. Anyone know of a board or some thing that the pictures will adhear to that I don"t have to use this goop. Double stickem tape is no better and in some ways worse! Any and all suggestion are deeply appreciated. Roger

Forget about paper pictures and finding the right sticky stuf. Find a young person who knows how to put pictures on an computer and on to a DVD disc. Then bring the disc a DVD player and a large screen TV to your club meeting. The pictures will continue to skroll through. Your friends will think you are a hero.
I am 77 years old and I am saying it can be done with some help from a younger person!! Good Luck.

Call your local funeral home and see what they use. They loan some kind of poster board to familys so pictures can be easily displayed and removed without damage.

I do the photography for several tractor clubs; also a couple local marching bands and a friend's large Christmas tree farm. I then do photo shows for club meetings, staff appreciation dinners, Christmas parties, etc. using just my laptop computer.

Simply group all the photos you wish to display into a folder. Now browse to the folder, right click on the first image, select "open with", then "Windows Live Photo Gallery". Finally click on the "slide show" button.

The software creates a professional-looking, full screen, continuously running show of all photos in the folder. (I'm assuming you have PC. I'm sure a Mac has similar software.)

To make the show more impressive, if one of your club members is a teacher ask them to borrow a digital projector from school for the evening. Plug the projector into your computer, aim it at a blank wall (or white table cloth hung on the wall). Now hit the "slide show" button and you're good to go.

I can guarantee your club members will be impressed!

If not using DVD or Powerpoint route as mentioned here is what I do for scouts.

I get the poster boards (science project tri-fold). Works good and folds in on itself to protect the pics.

As to mounting the pics find some ladies that do scrap booking. They have a adhesive to mount their photos - commonly called a tape runner. Looks like white out tape. Look for a Creative Memories consultant.

Put some of this adhesive in each corner of the photo and position on the board. If you don't like the position of it just pull up and re-position. Works great and lasts long time.

Clean up is very simple - just rub adhesive off the back of the pic or leave it on there - it is archive quality so it won't harm the pic. And if by chance you stick pics together i.e. stacking them the adhesive will not harm to print portion either.

good luck, roger! i'll see what you come up with on tuesday. i was just at staples with linda yesterday. i could have asked about your question.

You can buy 8 1/2 x 11 plastic sheet protectors that are set up to hold multiple pix. Saw some in Office Depot this week.

Hey everyone, Thanks for all of the suggestions. Now I think I have an idea that will work! Thanks again guys!!! Roger PS See you Tuesday evening Bill.
