2011 Iowa state farm custom rate survey.
Tandem disking range 5.00 to 16.00 average 11.80.This depends what kind of disk ,how deep,covering residue,rough or smooth and how much extra tillage to get ready to plant.

Why disc it? You worked it last year didn't you? Just no til plant the beans in the corn stalks. They are less bothersome upright than disced down.

Long story; it's was done last fall, have to pay the guy. One 45 acre slightly rolling field, was to go into beans next year.

What price to pay for discing?
