Looking for a spreader that will spread beef cow/feeder manure(corn stalk bedding/manure around bale feeder's, and also be able to spread 2.5-5 ton per acre poultry litter, which can be dry and fluffy, or wet and sticky. Any one have on ethey can sharte pros's and con's?

Besides Meyer, there are a lot of H&S around, plus the usual New Holland and New Idea. Some offer an additional top beater for ripping tough manure. Lake Henry Impl still sells a lot of spreaders in Stearns cty. They also own Pierz now.

Flugge's in Mora had some pretty decent prices on manure spreaders this past fall. Both new and used. Don't know what they have for inventory now. They have Knight machines.
We have a 680 New Holland tandem with dual beaters which has been a good machine, also have a 250 Gehl single axle. I think the Gehl is a better built machine, but the New Holland sees more use, and every load has a large crown to it. Done nothing but grease it and replace the original wooden floor once. Sure can't complain about it.

IF the Meyers 3245 you are looking at is a V-Max model with the third auger then it will spread the manure/hay you are talking about easily. I have sold them and own one right now. They will spread the manure out evenly and well broken up.

The only down side to them is that they don't have the greatest ground clearance. If you have to cross a creek or ditch watch the back end as you can drag it.

I hate a side slinger spreader. The most uneven spread pattern out there. Pull hard and need maintenance on the hammers often if used in hard manure.

Email me a phone number or I will give you mine and I will gladly call you and answer any questions I can about the Meyers 3245.
