Deer Season Over. How did You Guys Do?

Our season over today. Ended with two does and two bucks. Took a nice 9 point two days ago.

Poor. Too warm, rainy, no snow. Managed to get a doe as the freezer needed it. Usually like 2 deer. Way too many antlerless permits, too many seasons. We have deer season Sept 20 through Jan 1. An early and late antlerless, plus bow,regular, and muzzleloading, and youth. Lots of small bucks shot also, so no mature bucks seen in years. My opinion is back off on the antlerless permits and put a antler point restriction on of some sort. This in Michigan btw.

Here in Alabama our season does not end until January 31, so far I've taken 4 does, seen plenty of deer this season, hope to get a few bucks before end of the month.

My son, and his step-son, have been seeing and ketching deer all over their little farm,fifty miles north of Pittsburgh, Pa. And their neighbors have too. Most of the freezers are full, so i have heard.

Not very good! I didn't bag one trespassing hunter this year.
DNR officer did take one 9 point buck that I helped him get out of the woods. Not sure if he took any more. He said there was one real large old doe that needed to be taken. He didn't use the tractor while I was gone I do know and it has been so wet and muddy I wouldn't think he would drag out a large deer.

I got 2 antlerless deer in Pa. in Oct. Saw only one legal buck in 26 days of hunting. Only saw a spike buck here in Vt. The F&G here has depleted the herd here. Our kill here was down almost 20% this year. To many doe permits given out here. I much rather hunt in Pa. Being retired now I can go down and stay as long as I want too. I cant wait for next year to go down there, its like my 2nd home. Real nice people there too. Have aa lease there, 9 yrs now.

Skunked so far- late blackpowder ended yesterday. Have had shots I didn't take on small ones, undershot one I did shot at. Son in law has six, grandson 1. Still another shot gun season in a week,, and I've been seeing plenty.

One buck and 4 does,all big deer,Two different heards still running one with about 30 and the other with 7,yesterday was our last day here in WV.I took off yesterday and at noon time 7 was standing under my stand

If I tell you, you'll accuse me of bragging - let's just say freezer is full, and a couple friend's as well. Son and I did really well. We were hunting the early doe season one evening when 9 bucks came into the field. Couldn't shoot them! During regular season, none of them showed up, I had to settle for a spikehorn, and he got a small 6 point. Thank goodness for doe tags...

Have 14 more days of bow season here in Missouri. So far taken a small 9 point with my crossbow, have a permit to use it in stead of a normal bow and took a nice size doe with a SKS but that is it. Down from 2 years ago when I took 5 deer but hey the weather has been bad for hunting

got ya all beat, i got 12 loins, an one full doe an didnt fire a shot or even go out. gave the hunting rights on the farm to a neighbor, an he an another neighbor share it an give me deer meat to make into jerky an if they get a extra deer or one the they dont want they call me. i always mainly just hunted for meat anyhow, it works pretty good on my part

Excellent! Got 4 in our freezer, and 2 in wife's parent's freezer....

Never fired a shot.

I believe the Coyotes have drastically effected our deer population. I saw one fawn all season. How did yall teach the deer to eat Turnips?

This was the first year since 1993 that I didn't harvest a deer. Sad times.

Group of five got 7 and I got three this year and two last year. South of Kankakee, IL 30 miles. Saw many out of range crossing by. No monstors and no misses by the three shooters.

Not too good round here. Part way the weather, part way the full moon during rifle season. Did get an 1100 lbs buck day before season opened......MOOOOOO.

Have seen a lot of tracks.

Still hunting here till the 15th. Downed one doe in mid October with a bow. Watched a whole pile of button bucks and does with small fawns all season. Gun hunted with my wife, watched 2 big bucks with busted up racks, and those #!** button bucks. Christmas eve morning had a sweet 6 point at 31 yds, but was never able to draw on him. He'll be a BIG buck if he makes it till next year. Eight toms around all season, and can't seem to seal the deal with any of them. I think they got bionic eyes! Love every second in the stand! Mark

Finally got a doe last night in central Kansas. Still have one tag left to fill, but I don't know if I will have another chance to get out and hunt or not. It's just been too busy this fall.

I don't hunt anymore, never did much, just a few years, never had any luck. Now I just hope and pray that the hunters that do hunt around here kill them all....they're such a menace on our roads, I just hate the spit-hoofed rats.
