OT:2011..I stomped on the YT welcome mat...

All,

I am not an avid e-mail person, but I looked at all the e-mails I sent in 2011, and noticed 33 some e-mails sent by me, late in this year, to a fellow that frequents this fine site. He's been absolutely spot on with advise. But...

I sent my father a grand total of about 5 e-mails. I think I should e-mail other people as well as these two?

Maybe I pester folk here, more than I do my Dad?! Overstayed my welcome?

All aside, I am thankful for all the guidance, both directly and by proxy.

I agree Old Tanker!! Also my FIL. and some Blacksmiths/welders, Mechanics, and a few neighbors that were a little more knowledgeable than me!!!!! I miss them all!! Also a couple of Grandfathers and one Uncle. Armand

33?

Oh heck, I send out more than that 'fore 6am. :>)

Did ya get that kit ordered yet? We gotta get this thing back together before one of us forgets how. HA!

oldtanker, Armand, Allan,

It's a shame for a son(me) not to get more involved with my Dad, just seems I get too busy, and he's got plenty of time to craft e-mails.

I enjoy my dad's advise, and truly seek it, for he's been through more than I, and more than I want to. And if I may, he's got some damn good advise, now whether i listen to it, seems to be touch-and-go. Been that way since my teens, 20's,30's,40's. Hope I don't continue the trend too much.

Thanks for the response, just having a moment.

Costs nothing to listen, it is the application where you decide.Yes , wish we could bring them back to fill the void.Contrary to what we are told, it won't happen.

Well, i got home from WW II Army service in 1946, and my Dad died soon after, from a fall on the icy trolley car tracks.
Ohh, i had learned a lot from him before i went to the Service, so not all was lost. I sure did miss him after his demise.
So, pay attention to what yer fathers and mothers say or have said! Never know when they will pass on. RJ

Dennis: I understand where you are coming from! Continue to enjoy the time with your dad (and others) as oftin as you can! Armand
