LOL you guys have no idea. According to surveys about 70% of the voting population pays no attention to the news so they are voting on party lines and/or paid for TV ads! Heck they figure that over half the people who buy news papers only read the sports and Comics.......and they VOTE!

I pulled a a Merle Haggard tape I recorded back when TNN was a country music channel. It was a taped live concert with all his good old songs. The stuff on tv now is trash.

Whats wrong with this country has nothing to do with music or how someone dresses. It's all about self, to many people not willing to stand up for what is right. We are all to concerned about what the other guy will of us that we just set back and let the country go to he11 in hand-basket. If you think it's about who is singing on TV then you have no clue about the problems of the country. We allowed a complete idiot to be voted in as president and now we want to blame every thing but ourselves for the problem.

shouldn't the great concern be that in our democratic state only 60% of eligible voters voted in the last presidential election and non-presidential years hovers in the 40% range.

who can vote rarely concerns me as most people who can...don't.

One problem with our country is, there are more takers than givers and the takers turn out to vote. We also have a society of exceptions and exemptions. The above issues elect our politicians, along with voter fraud.

Freeks are OK, dead beats (no pun intended) are not.
How about the idea of having to make finished products and process raw materials within 500 miles of where it is used.
Kids with nothing but button pushing capacity are pretty much worthless. (I get them when they are 19, and there has been no progress in their capability to think in three dimensions at all.

My take on a good part of the problem is that we in many cases elect some idiot who can't make a living doing anthing else to office at a local level, and then reelect rhem to a higher office later on the grounds they are now an experianced idiot. From here they go to the house or senate because they are a very experianced idiot. Then they run against other idiots to give us a choice to see which idiot we'd rather have in office. Most of these idiots have become lawyers, which are bigger idiots than most. So, when elections come, we can vote for the biggest idiot to become the Commander-in-Chief Idiot.

No wonder we're in trouble. Our country is being led by a bunch of idiots!

I respectfully disagree with you!!! Whats wrong with this country starts in the home. How many of you actually sit down at the dinning room table at each meal with your children and discuss the happening of the day? I'll bet durn few!!! Each and everyone of parents has the option of turning off the TV or controlling which programs are acceptable. Whats wrong with this country for the last 40 yrs is the non use of the DINNING ROOM TABLE.
Parents have been to busy giving their children,"What they did not have growing up" rather than taking responsibility for raising them with the correct morals and standards..

Enough, I'll get off my soap box... I could write a book on this subject, putting the blame where it belongs-----Starting with parenting time!!!
