Anyone, anything, or any company contributing to a political "campain" should have to pay taxes on the amount they contributate. Those taxes should be equivlant to 100% of the amount contributated. There should be no federal or state matching funds given to any canidate. This might elimimate a lot of the purchased elections.

Actually, if you make your own beer or wine (or champagne) it's not taxed.

Not sure I'd wanna drink homemade champagne, though. The store-bought stuff is bad enough.

Political funds are not taxed, a small part of the reason its against the law to take money out of that fund for personal use.

Why not? Is that question for real? Simple answer, because the people that make the laws are also the people benefiting from the money in the accounts, now why would they want to pay tax on that money? You realize that if they do, they have less money after doing that, right?
