That's a sweet looking ride. I like the hitch, I need to redo mine. but I don't know if that metal stock is heavy enough. has he tried it yet? Does it still tie into the axle center underneath? Mine looks a lot better since I got a left side grab handle from Mark in Boonville and got it powder coated chrome and put it on. LOL

9000/9600 were available as narrow front, but apparently very few were sold that way. Most had the long wheelbase wide front, and a fair number had the short wheelbase wide front.

Nebraska test pegged them at 135. (9000 was 131)The one I had dynoed 140 with 9900 hours on it the day I traded it.

(quoted from post at 20:51:13 12/27/11) i don"t remember ever seeing a 9000 with a narrow front.
did this tractor come from factory with narrow front or was this after market add on?

Here is what it looked like earlier, I have seen pictures of NFE 9000s and 9600s. My front is from a Farmall H. It is nearly a direct bolt on. As others have said HP was claimed at 131 but I have seen various references to 160 without any work on them. I got 130 on the Dyno but the PTO clutch slips.

too bad my 8000 is buried in snow right now. i could put a pic of it on the spreader with a flat rear tire right now. owell i have to get it running later anyway. got to get the load off before it completley freezes. i would post a pic if i knew how to with my new iphone.

Showcrop the hitch is pulling off the three point those arms are three point arms cut off I picked up at the salvage yard. the adjusting arms have 1" bolts holding them to the hitch so it should be strong enough I guess time will tell.

Yes, it was pretty much for getting weight off for pulling. The original seat weighed about 80 lbs. it has a cheap suspension seat on it now.
