Dave2 -- how are those tire chains?

Hi Dave and anybody else who cares to comment,

You'd mentioned getting some chains from tractortirechains.com (instead of the other place, w/out the "tractor" in the URL). I realize you haven't had much chance to use them yet, but how did they look?

Beefy cross chains? Do they claim to be hardened (the website is silent). The pictures from the other place look beefier, but I'm not tickled w/ their recent price increases either...

Also, anybody use Peerless? They seem to be "made in USA", which none of the other claim. I was trying to fit my old (15.5-38) chains on my new (16.9-34) tractor, and not feeling too safe. Peerless lists the same size for both, and these chains (from Dave's "other place") are plenty big on the 15.5...)

Thanks,

They're doing just what I wanted them to do.... Them, a half ton of salt, and getting ready to get a back blade... 27 December and almost 50 degrees. Pretty good insurance........

To answer your ??? They look tuff and hefty. And heavy.....Hope to not need them but may put them on just to check fit if I find the time.....
The guy's were real helpful and went out of their way to get them to me quick.
