Well what did you guys get

I am so blessed with my family and friends and what I got this year. I figured if anyone wanted to share what they got that might be nice. My favorite was concert tickets for Eric Church, and a Porter Cable 4 piece power tool kit. I also got a Farmall Bar stool and a bunch of other neat fun tractor and mechanic stuff. God Bless and hope you all had a Merry Christmas.

My wife and I donated money to neighbours that lost their house on tuesday evening.

Our gifts to each other went to neighours to help them reorganize their Christmas.

I think Porta Cable makes the best. The only thing Dewalt has is that it is more common. I have a sleigh filled with toys and a bunch of reindeer meat. Seriously, however, everyone in our family is starting to send the same three, which isn't something bad, either. You know, Food, cards and cash. I hate saying it after the MIL thread, but it started with our inlaws, and now we all do it. Prices drop tonight, and everyone gets what they want, or need.

I got a lot of warm cloths and a full belly but best of all I got to spend Christmas with family. In the past while I served I missed quite a few holidays with family.

The best gift I get is holding a little one opening their gift. That look of anticipation is great to watch. As we get older it is much harder to get the charge out of holidays as you do when your young.

I also found out that I have two more grand kids on the way. That will make fourteen. God Bless you all!!!

i agree with snoopnc it doesnt get any better than that maybe santa will make it up to you next year have a merry christmas and holidays.

I got some nice gifts and the best gift of all was my wife, daughter and I went to the big church in town and helped serve Christmas dinner to the poor or homeless , The three of us were in charge of a table that fit ten people,we were the waiter and waitress's. It was a very rewarding expierience. My daughter is going to sign us up for Easter .

Had kids and grandkids over. Got lots of good things, but the most precious was me and grandma still being here in relatively good health and getting to hold & begin to spoil first great grandson born Nov 1st. Just couldn't ask for anything better than that. Hope you all have a healthy and prosperous new year. Keith

Best gift was the kids and grandkids rolling in and out all day and into the evening.

Got a Kindle that my 7 year old grandson taught me how to use.
My wife got me a couple of cases of "Two If By Tea" and the "Rush Revere" mug set.

Good day and not too hectic.

Had kids over for dinner, and there were no confrontations.

Mom really surprised me with an Optima blackpowder gun. I was going to slip into Dick's after Christmas and see if I couldn't get one on sale. I don't know how she does it. She's gotten to reading my mind like a book.

lumpies of coal and jeans that don't fit!

Naw, actually had a nice time at the inlaws Christmas Eve and at the folks on Christmas Day BUT did get more than I deseved including a couple of antique tractor calendars.
PS: Stayed up till about midnight last night playing with a little remote controlled helicopter the wife got me- Guess I never will grow up!
Hope everybody had a Merry Christmas

Marilyn and I exchanged gifts alone yesterday, with our son and family stopping in for a half hour or so. So I got a toaster, two pair of flannel lined jeans, insulated coveralls. Does something tell you I'm cold blooded?

Anyway, Christmas hasn't hardly started for us yet. Marilyn's side has Christmas on Dec 31, she's from a family of 17 so there will be plenty of everything. No gifts, but there will be a lot to shovel out after it's over LOL. Then our family Christmas won't be till Jan 8. Jim

Our oldest Grand Daughter speent Christmas Eve with us which was a plus. We don"t get to see her very often even tho she only lives about 8 blocks away.Got to talk on the phone with our next grand daughter and her mom and dad[our son] Talked to our youngest daughter in ILL. and about 4 times during the day with our two little Immigant Grand Daughters 3 and 4 years old. They are adopted and hail from Kazhstan. They have been in America a little less than 2 years and are typical kids of their age and are speaking english very well.As for my self I got a couple of wanted T shirts,That is a prime article of clothing here in Arizona and the old ones wear out very fast,A Garmin GPS unit for the motor home or car,A Kindle which i have yet to figure out, A very nice book called "Hands in Harmony" about appalachian music and crafts and the people who dominate in it and the type of music and crafts they are involved with, very interesting.A deceased Cousin of my grand Father ,one Casper "Stranger" Malone is featured on page 182. He had a long career with music and from about 1926 thru to 2005. He holds the worlds record for longest working career recording artist for this period of time in the Guiness book of World Records. All in my family are well and we look forward to the new year. One of the nicer Christmases I have ever had.

What did I GET? much good will and a stock of home made cookies. What I GAVE was a Henry 22 golden boy to my best friend and a box of chocolates with a Wallmart card stuck on it to his wife. They take care of me. I FEEL GOOD!
KennyP..coloken

Got a twenty ton hydraulic jack. The old eight ton is about on its last legs after about forty years of farm use. Joe

On Thanks Giving we just pass a hat with everyone's names and just but a gift for that person.

We try to leave the day as it is supposed to be to be with family, with an elaborate meal, and celebrate the Birth of Christ.

I got a bundle of nice pocketed T shirts and a bundle of much needed cotton socks.

I got a Kindle also...downloaded some free books yesterday, reading a good Civil War historical fiction/detective story called the Tinen Massacre that was a free download. With my bad eyes, the Kindle really makes recreational reading enjoyable again!

Kindle and 3 pair of new jeans, and some big ol' smiles from my babies. Toby said it was the best Christmas ever!

Wife and I didn't exchange gifts this year, a first for us in 38 years. We can pretty much afford the things we want and need, we just are not high maintenance folks. Her family Christmas got put off for a few days as the FIL took a fall and is in the hospital for a few days and we can't get all of our kids and grand kids here until Feb for our family Christmas.

So I guess I was real bad and didn't get nothing!!!!!

Was a great Christmas anyway with one son for the day and my daughter, SIL and one grand daughter stopping in for an hour. We did morning and evening chores and thats about it!

I like to read in bed when I can't sleep. Don't want to disturb the little woman by turning on a light. Wish they'd make one that was backlit (even if you had to plug it in for that feature)- if I have to fuss around with little reading lights, I'll just stick to books.

Guess I was a bad boy last year. I got rain, mud, cold and a truck in the ditch with a bent rim.

But glad to see others had a much better Christmas

I bought myself one of those PC kits with a saw, the first time I used it, the battery lasted about 6 cuts thru 2 X 4s. I figured, they got me again.
The more I used it and recharged it the better it got. Quite satisfied now. I bought a PC 12 volt drill 20 years ago batteries lasted about 12 yrs I had them rebuilt by Primecell they came back almost as good as they were when I sent them in.
Gonna try rebuilding some myself. someday

Don't remember much about presents, but the best thing that happened was last night when my six year old grandson climbed on my lap to snuggle. After awhile I said, "Samuel, you're the best snuggler I know". He jumped up, threw his little arms around my neck and said, "Grandpa, you're my best friend". That's about as good as it gets!

I got 9 days off....Really. I almost cant believe it. I have not had the week off between Christmas and New years in 7 years. My son is happy, he is 10 and got 3 Nerf guns and a real rifle I bought for him a few weeks ago.

I have a large list of Stuff to do.
I will easily handle this list, except the Cut down trees part, that has been an on-going thing for years. It is a good exercise thing though.
I did get a pair of leather work gloves from the wife that I asked for.

Was a good year. Wife and I have not exchanged gifts in years, because if we need it we go get it. My only two grandchildren(girl and a boy)like to sit one on each side of me when we go out to eat. Parents get a little upset, because they want to so bad. But I get right down on the floor with them and talk to them while they play. Granddaughter at Christmas went into here room later in the day and was playing school. I went in and was telling her how the one room schoolhouse was in the early 50's. Got ready to leave and she come to me and said. Grandpa I really like talking to you. If grandpa was not such a tough old cuss his heart would of pop out of his chest.

Family all at home for the holidays - both serving in armed forces. Both sons are home so we got them each a gift card that they can spend as they see fit.

Job hopefully - supposed to get finalok on 1/4.

Wife got me CCW holster and I got her .270 dipped in camo.

Was a nice Christmas.

A few nice things from the kids and family.

AND purchase approval on a backhoe from the wife.
Now if I can convince her to run it too.

Merry Christmas.
Rick

Santa brought me a do it yourself colonosopy kit.

I musta been really bad this year. All I got was a bad cold!

Christmas isn't a big deal in my family. We haven't done presents for several years, and to be honest, I don't really miss it. It's more about the family time. Even though my older brother and I don't like each other.

Although, it was awful nice of Dad to find me a really nice piece of Diamond Willow. Lots of nice pens gonna be built out of that one when it cures! :D

12 pack of cokes in a bucket, pair of socks, book, candy, a new pflueger fishing reel, way too much food, all the kids and grandkids over. Littlest called last night ,said she was missing papa,so guess who got out of bed at 10 o'clock and drove sixty miles to get her? parents chewed me out for spoiling her somehow...

Santa went light on me this year and made up for it with my 5 year old son. We are both now playstation 3 junkies. He has the Cabela's Big Game Hunter game with the gun. We spent 12 hours straight shooting deer and elk. I think this has become a present for the both of us.

My wife and I get most of our stuff throughout the year, so we spend almost all of our "Christmas cash" on our son and close relatives.
