Gold IH Tractors

They were designated as demonstrator tractors by IH.
They had 656, 826, 1026 hydro, and 1456 tractors with the gold paint scheme. My dad got the fortune of plowing with an 826 gold demonstrator after my grandpa got hurt in a silage wagon incident. The dealer brought it to them and told them to keep it as long as they needed. Having only run gas 560 and 656s' it was quite a step up. Dad said the only thing it needed at the time was a heat houser.

I'm not red fan, but I think they were anniversary tractors and made in a bunch of different models and distributed to dealers.

(quoted from post at 13:17:57 12/21/11) I'm not red fan, but I think they were anniversary tractors and made in a bunch of different models and distributed to dealers.

These were Case/International models, not the original gold demonstrators.

I think there were some 544 models also.

They were all made in late 1970 and serial numbers werent kept track of.They had a black dash and a demonstrator decal. They are probably excluding the 2 series one of the most collectable IH .Many were repainted so many have turned up when the gold is dicovered. From what I know the 544 and 656 are rarest then the bigger 10s&14s which are my favorites.
