O.T. Details of new google earth photos.

Has been on here a lot recently but we live in a remote area of Tenn. UP untill 10/16 this year google photos were over 6 years old. Take a look at hay field 36,28,27,87 n / 87,44,27, 35w.
So detail you can see where we hardlaned overseed after cutting the hay. Dark spot in center is burried goose pit. You can see the drain lin out front and where the electric line was ran in from the back. Kubota and bushhog at edge of field. Can see joints in concrete drive way. Amazing detail.. Don be nosing around in my junk yard.

Yeah, we got a new photo too. Figured out from vehicles in yard it was in late Sept. this year. Much better than the previous one that was several years old.

We got new photos in Michigans thumb also. Like you said, narrowed it to april by whats parked in the yard.

I looked at the street view of my place. then I scrolled around to see what it looked like on their camera. When I looked north, there I was following in my pickup. Hows that for a coincidence?

October 2nd or 3rd here. You can see how much corn is in the gravity wagons in the fields.

Almost getting scary.

You can see the big brown patch on the globe map in so. mn when you start to zoom in. You can see some pretty detailed stuff in peoples yards.

Pictures are updated to show some stuff we added but are still a year or so old.... Not a lot of detail in my area, but a few miles away you can almost make out the rooftiles....

around here the more detailed the pics, the more meth activity. The pics I have seen for our area were older and not much detail, but go north 30 miles and you can see cats in peoples yards. There is also a lot of meth lab activity in that area so I don't think the better pics are just for the publics benefit, big brother is looking for something.

Google earth photoes for my area are still 3 years or older. Flash Earth has photoes taken this past spring of my area in southern middle TN.

Ever notice how you can see old abandoned railbeds? There's a rail bed betwen Rembrandt, Ia and Spencer Ia that's been abandoned since the mid-30's, that can still be seen in land that's been farmed for many years after the bed was leveled. You can even faintly see where it went through town where houses have been for the past half century.Jim

Most of the time when I look at Google earth maps & pic., I see the date on bottom left connor of pic. Not sure if all pic. show the dates taken, mine does.

Just looked at my place. It is at least two years ago when I zoom in but looking when looking at the map on a larger scale it looks more current.

Ours in northern NY is still the 2006 version. I know because it shows the wreckage of the old pole barn that fell over that year, before I got it cleaned up.
