I wanted to post a couple videos I took of my rebuilt Standard diesel. Only have a few years old Konica/Minolta pocket cam. Looks fine, no sound, but a few minutes each, for several reasons- now I can't post them, sez too big, too many mb's. OK, how do I cut the boring parts out and make it 'sendable'? TIA

Convert to MPGs and it will cut way down in size. Better yet, MP4s. Free conversion utilites to be found on the Web. I still made videos from our Sony cam corder with a tape drive. I run the tapes into my computer and save a .mov files. Then convert to MP4s.

Assuming you're on Windows you can use MovieMaker to edit the video (and add sound if you want).

If you're on Windows XP you might need to convert the file that came from the camcorder into a format MovieMaker can understand; there are free ones to convert from a .MOV file (Apple QuickTime) to .AVI format. Newer versions of Windows might be able to import directly from the recorder.
