Are they still in business?
There is a set of used Coop tires for sale near me but I'm not sure how old they are.
The ad says they are 80% tread but 80% on a 30 year old tire may not be such a good deal.
Anybody know about them?

we have a set on our 4020 deere......were put on probably 10 -12 years ago. not a bad tire, but in comparison to a firestone, the tredbar design in kind of "round". I mean looking at the "front" of the tire, not the "side". Not a "sharp looking" tire. Depends on your needs, wants and the price. Good luck.

Our local Farmer's Co-Op still sells them. They also carry other brands, but about a year ago, I bought a new rear tire for my Ford 2000 tractor. It was a Co-Op brand that came off, and a new Co-Op brand that went on.

I have no opinion as to their quality, I just know that I bought one and it's working fine.

Many moons ago when I was a young man I worked at the local Co-op and sold and installed a lot of Co-op Rear Tractor tires. They are a very good tire. I have a pair of 15.5X38 installed on one of my tractors over 30 years ago and have never had a single problem with them and they still only have a few weather cracks even though the tractor sets out all the time.
 
Haven't bought a Co-op rear tire in years. Did happen to get one as a replacement wagon tire last summer, so I guess they're still around. Their wagon tires are OK, but not my first choice. But I've had better luck with them than china- or india- made tires. Don't care for the rears... at least not the ones they sold 15-20 years ago. Were smaller than same size in other brands, and cracked badly.
 
Got a set on the 860 Ford. I know they have been on there over 30 years, and are not in too bad of shape yet. Some weather checking, but not ready to be replaced any time soon either.
 
I have one on the back of my IH "H". The other one is Firestone and exactly same tread. So I imagine they are made by Firestone. These are both oider tires.
