Cummins engine

I am pretty sure in late 2008 when I was looking at 100hp new tractors that the NH 6000 series had cummins in them - 6 cylinder

Case/New Holland still do in a good bit of there bigger farm stuff, anything I beleve over 90 or 100hp.Deere stil makes there own motors for anything over I think 60hp. Lexion or should say claas painted cat yellow uses mercedes and agco uses I believe a fiat engine.

Lexion uses Cat engines in the US and Mercedes in Europe. Cats are a little more fuel efficient but Mercedes have a little more oomph, though neither one is a laggard. Jim

Bill, agricultre isn't the biggest showcase of Cummins. More construction equipment, trucks, stationary power and marine power use Cummins than tractors. Like the other guy said, case uses Cummins.

Versatile is probably the only one left using Cummins branded engines. CNH has switched to Iveco branded stuff (Fiat Sub). That said... the smaller 6's and 4's presently in use were developed jointly with Cummins 10-15 years ago. If they're not identical to the newer 'B' then I think you'll find they share a LOT in common with them.

I believe its teh T6000 and the T7000 series New Holland's and the same sized CIH machines do. The Puma series CIH tractors have Cummins in them. Deere uses Cummins in their 2 biggest Self Propelled silage choppers. Both of them are over 600 hp i think. Cummins are in some of the AgChem vehicles like TerraGators and RoGators. Like someone else said they are found more now days in Construction equipment. I know Komatsu uses a lot of the new 6.7 cummins in Trackhoes and other equipment.

I have a B3 (as I recall) 4 cyl diesel made by Komatsu heavy equip in Japan under the Cummins patent, for Cummins, in an '07 Branson 65 pto hp. One reason I bought the tractor is that for the size, I got a Cummins engine and it had 4 cylinders not 3. Has been a real fuel sippin, hard working engine.

I have a JD 11' 24 bottom chisel/cultivator (6" sweeps) with 3 rows of rakes that I used to pull with my100 hp JD 4230 2wd in heavy Houston Clay soil. My Branson is 4wd and pulls this implement as easily as the Deere on about 1/3 the fuel. I am duly impressed.

I have worked around a lot of Komatsu heavy machinery and It is obvious that they know how to build heavy machinery and the engines that go into it, so why wouldn't Cummins license them to build engines for them? Surely is the right answer for me.
