Quick connect

I bought a new 110tlb John Deere in 2008. The loader uses the skidloader type attachment for buckets etc. Following the JD instructions, turning ignition on, operating valve etc., I still have difficulty seperating the hydraulic quick- connects. I have even had to loosen the fitting and let the pressure off to get them disconnected. Anybody else had this problem?

When my ex-SIL bought a Kubota with loader, he told me to run the joystick through the different positions to relieve the pressure, with the engine off. I never had any problem with disconnects.

Had the same problem on a Cat at work. Turned out to be the shut-off valve was defective and was allowing fluid to slip by, pressurizing the connections.

IF you have skid-steer type flat faced connectors, they by their nature are just harder to connect than the pionier or ISO connectors used by ag tractors. The flat faced couplers do not relive preasure as well as the iso type however the flatfaced do flow more gpm of fluid so some trade off. What front attachment do you use. If it is something like a bucket grapel change to iso . If it is something like a hydraulic broom or breaker requiring 13 gpm or more you are stuck with the flatfaced.

Thanks, I use a several implements, have tried moving the valves with engine off. I think the problem is pressure trapped in the implements.
