update on leafy widowmaker/ hangers?

Whatever ya call em where you are, they are stupid dangerous accidents wating to.... finish happening??? As I loaded this up, I see 2 more hangers without leaves- they are still moving sap down the trunk?
This is my tree, but not my wires, and not going to affect my house- much lighter looking than the one last night, don't mater- some one else will deal with this one. The brush crews from Missouri are still buzzing around. I expect they will be in the western states next? Or not enough trees to bother with out there?

Doesn t the county or State or power company have a cherry picker to cut those limbs down ? Especially the one by the power line.

I have used a shotgun slug or buckshot to take out that kind of hanger, good to wake up the neighbors once in a while:>).

Nope. One does anything about them till it is too late. That is why this whole part of the country was in the dark for a month. The contractor cuts twigs back a certain number of inches away from live wires... every few years... job security? Every cop, fireman, town truck and utility truck stops to look at it. But lookin' don"t get 'er done.
