Gonna let that old pickup warm a bit this morning. Don't want my dog gettin' the shivers. :>)

I think I might be tempted to send the dog out and start the truck.

Best be careful Allan, the radical environmentalists and militant vegetarians dont like to hear that (warm up the truck), youre spewing out all that extra carbon into the environemt and causing global warming lol but hey a little warming is all youre lookin for right???

Once (this dude I know) took an old fridge to the local recycling establishment and they all came out cryin n screaming n called the swat team and guys in white hazmat suits (a bit of hyperbole there lol) saying it still had the compressor and deadly Freon and they sent me (the dude I meant) away. Welllllllll this "dude" goes home n takes pliers n breaks the line and freon escaped. Guess what THE NEXT DAY IT GOT MUCH WARMER that proves the whole man caused global warmign thing grrrrrrrrrr

Keep warm my friend, Im takin my old bones to Florida soon

45 and sunny/windy today. About 2 inches of rain yesterday... Co7ulda been 2+ inches spread out over a week butnooooooo, lets get it all in a few hours and make soup.....
Put up Christmas lights today, looked outside, and had big snow flakes falling.Think I'll take the lights back down

An old fridge doesn't cause global warming, causes ozone depletion, quite a bit actually. Quite illegal to bleed it out into the atmosphere. Most dumps take the fridge and have guy come in to collect it so they can resell it.

It's suppose to hit 60° here today in the midatlantic area. I don't think it will be long before that cold weather of your's moves East. Hal

Tractor started, but was somewhat "reluctant". -10° out there on the hill.

I dunno, maybe I should change out that 30 wt oil? :>(

Did you ever open a can of 30 weight on a 0 degree day and try to pour it out?

My brother in law in minnesota put one of those remote starters on his truck last year. He said thats the best thing he ever bought bar none!LOL I told him that was a sure sign of old age, especially since he has 4-5 snowmobiles,a ice fishing shack ,and all that other stuff those crazy snow lovers have!

Was -6 this morning plus 10 now. With about three inches new snow yesterday. Sun out nice and bright today. Low thirties tomorrow--maybe!

I thought I read somewhere that "freon" is actually more dense than regular air so in reality settles to the ground and does not do anything at all to the atmosphere.

This same article said that the patent for "freon" or R-12 was about to expire so DuPont - the maker of R-12 and holder of the about to expire patent had their lobyists in DC start campaigning the politicians to start crying about it harming the atmosphere and make it illegal. Seems DuPont had its replacement already patented and ready to go.

I may have dreamed the whole thing but seems like I remember reading that or maybe even hearing it on the radio one day
